Varun Patel Chiropodist

Varun is a Registered Chiropodist licensed under the College of Chiropodists of Ontario since 2021. He is passionate about helping patients improve their mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life through compassionate, evidence-based foot care.

Varun earned his Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University, where his interest in human movement, anatomy, and biomechanics first developed. As an avid sports enthusiast, he became particularly fascinated by the relationship between biomechanics and injury prevention. A personal family health experience further inspired him to pursue a career in foot health, leading him to complete his Advanced Diploma in Chiropody at The Michener Institute at University Health Network.

Varun continues to expand his clinical knowledge and skills in a variety of areas including plantar fasciitis, wart treatment, wound care, diabetic foot care, nail care, and lower limb biomechanics. He is committed to providing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals.

His approach to patient care is deeply rooted in compassion, empathy, and service to others, inspired by the teachings of his Guru, Pramukh Swami Maharaj: “In the joy of others lies our own.”

Nathee Selvendran Chiropodist

Nathee is a valued member of the Mississauga Foot Clinic team, bringing over a decade of experience providing comprehensive foot care across Ontario. Known for his approachable and professional manner, Nathee is dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-focused treatment in a comfortable and supportive environment.

He graduated from The Michener Institute in 2012, completing his final clinical placement at The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre. During this time, he gained extensive experience in high-risk foot care, wound management, limb preservation, and the treatment of patients living with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and severe arthritis.

Since entering practice, Nathee has worked in a wide range of clinical settings throughout Ontario, helping patients manage everything from chronic foot conditions to biomechanical issues such as corns, calluses, and foot pain. His strong clinical leadership led him to help develop and launch foot care programs at both Northumberland Family Health Team and St. Michael’s Hospital Academic Family Health Team.

While at St. Michael’s Hospital, Nathee worked alongside an interdisciplinary team of surgeons, family physicians, chiropractors, and allied health professionals. He was recognized for his contributions to patient care through a nomination highlighting clinical excellence among allied health practitioners. Nathee has also served as a clinical preceptor for both medical and chiropody residents, helping mentor and guide future healthcare professionals.

Nathee is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, the Ontario Society of Chiropodists, and the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine. He remains committed to ongoing education and evidence-based treatment approaches to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.

Matthew Shestalo Chiropodist

After practicing as a registered nurse in both the intensive care unit (ICU) and community mental health, he shifted his focus to podiatric medicine, graduating from the Michener Institute of Applied Sciences in 2015. Matthew has been practicing as chiropodist in private practice in Mississauga and Toronto ever since. He continues to concentrate his practice on the treatment and management of conditions such as plantar fasciitis, warts, ingrown toenails, the diabetic foot and wounds, biomechanical analysis and custom orthotics.

Jonathan B. Tomines Lead Chiropodist

Jonathan is a Registered Chiropodist licensed under the College of Chiropodists of Ontario and the Lead Chiropodist at Mississauga Foot Clinic. Since beginning practice in 2012, he has been dedicated to providing modern, patient-focused foot care while continually advancing the clinical experience through innovation and education.

Jonathan completed his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Science at University of Waterloo before earning his Advanced Diploma in Chiropody from The Michener Institute.

Over the past decade, Jonathan has developed extensive experience treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, with particular interest in nail procedures, soft tissue surgery, biomechanics, and advanced technologies in foot care. At Mississauga Foot Clinic, he has helped integrate modern treatment platforms and technologies, including laser therapy for fungal nails and minimally invasive soft tissue procedures, to enhance patient outcomes and overall clinic experience.

Jonathan is passionate about continually evolving the practice and believes strongly in patient education and evidence-based care. His goal is to help patients of all ages better understand, prevent, and manage foot-related conditions while receiving high-quality care in a professional, welcoming, and modern environment.

Maryam Zarazvand Chiropodist

Maryam is a Registered Chiropodist licensed under the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. She is passionate about helping patients improve their foot health, mobility, and overall quality of life through compassionate, patient-centred care.

Maryam completed her Advanced Diploma in Chiropody at The Michener Institute at University Health Network. Prior to pursuing chiropody, she earned an Honours degree in Kinesiology from York University, providing her with a strong foundation in human movement, biomechanics, and musculoskeletal health.

Throughout her training and professional career, Maryam has gained experience working in community health centres, family health teams, and private clinical settings. She has treated a wide range of foot conditions and is committed to creating personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs and goals.
